The Banbury Wednesday netball league, now in its eighth week, continues to demonstrate the spirit of competitive sportsmanship with surprising results and standout performances. The League teams, including the Banbury Ballers, Goal Shooters, Shoot Happens, Dynamite Shooters, Banbury AllStars, Odd Balls, Pocket Rockets, and Goals Aloud, put on incredible displays of skill and dedication last night.

Goal Shooters managed to edge out Banbury Ballers with a score of 14-10. Meanwhile, in a nail-bitingly close match, Shoot Happens narrowly triumphed over Dynamite Shooters, ending the game at 18-16.

However, it was Banbury AllStars who stole the show in the League, showcasing their netball prowess with a decisive victory over Odd Balls, with a sweeping score of 26-7. Following closely behind, Goals Aloud defeated Pocket Rockets 14-10, underscoring the competitive intensity in the League.

The standout player of the week was none other than Holly Dorman from Odd Balls. Despite her team's loss, Dorman exhibited exceptional skill and determination on the court, earning her the well-deserved title of Most Valued Player. Her performance serves as a reminder that individual brilliance shines, even in the face of defeat.
