Uttoxeter Sunday Social Netball update 25th February

The Uttoxeter Sunday Netball League, now in its sixth week of the season, saw an intense set of games this past Sunday night with all matches played in the correct spirit.

Pass Me The Wine locked horns with the Gunners and managed a narrow victory of 4-3 in a tense but friendly affair. It was a clash of equals as Netallica and Game Of Throw Ins concluded their game with a 10-10 draw, leaving everyone on the edge of their seats.

The Goal Diggers outscored Net Club Seven in a nail-biting game that ended 16-15 in favour of the Diggers. The Toxic Ladies showed a brilliant performance against the Court Queens, leading to a decisive 13-7 victory.

The match of the week, however, was between Denstone Divas and The Raiders. The Raider managed to eke out a 7-6 win in a closely contested match which flowed fro end to end. Lucy Bragg, stood out with her exceptional performance for Denstone. Bragg was declared the most valued player for the week, which comes as no surprise considering her consistent high-level play but it wasn`t enough to prevent the loss.

We have never seen such an exhilarating week, and the credit goes to all players who have displayed amazing talent, skill and teamwork. The league has become more unpredictable than ever, and the anticipation for next week’s games is already high.

With each passing week, the league is growing in excitement and competitiveness. The players are showing no signs of slowing down, and with the kind of performances we're seeing, the rest of the season promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
