Uttoxeter Sunday social netball update 12th May
In another adrenaline-packed week of the Uttoxeter Sunday Social Netball League, the League delivered a sporting spectacle to remember. With only two weeks left in the season, the competition is heating up, and each team is fighting tooth and nail to secure their place for the next season.
We did have one sour point this week when a player refused to shake her opponents hand and showed her discontent at umpires descisions, so unfortunately she has been removed from the league. Our stance has remained the same throughout the season and we will continue to act on behaviour like this.
A 5 - 5 draw between Netallica and Pass Me The Wine, has virtually handed the title to Goal Diggers as they are now 4 points clear at the top from Netallica with only 2 matches remaining.
Gunners faced a tough defeat, falling 20-4 to Net Club Seven. The latter's outstanding performance put them among the top scorers for the week. However,Gunners remain everyone`s favourite team with their friendly enthusiastic approach to every game, so well done that team!
Meanwhile, Game Of Throw Ins locked horns with Toxic Ladies in the match of the night that ended in an 18-18 draw, showcasing the competitive spirit of this division. Toxic Ladies' star player, Alice Wager, was named the most valued player of the week, reflecting her integral role in the team's robust performance.
Goal Diggers also made their mark, defeating Spice Goals 16-3 to all but crown them as champions, while Court Queens emerged victorious over The Raiders 13-9.
As we approach the final weeks of the season, the excitement continues to mount.
