On the whole it was another good evening this week in the Uttoxeter Sunday social netball league with all teams in attendance and most thing running relatively smoothly. Unfortunately we have had to remove a couple of players this week for their unsporting behaviour and critisism of our umpires but they can`t say they haven`t been warned as we have tried to reiterate that this is a social league and therefore should be enjoyable. We take the personal experience of every player and our officials very seriously and when 2 players are intent on making it an unpleasant one, then we are left with no other alternative.
The league itself saw Gunners and Toxic Ladies engaged in a thrilling contest, resulting in a closely fought match hailed as the Match of the Evening. Despite a valiant effort from Gunners, Toxic Ladies emerged victorious with a 12-8 win, highlighting the competitive spirit of both teams.
Goal Diggers delivered a strong performance, securing a 15-3 victory over The Raiders. Their cohesive teamwork and effective offensive strategies propelled them to success and kept them at the top of the table.
Denstone Divas displayed their skill and determination, securing a 14-6 victory over Game Of Throw Ins.
Court Queens secured a solid 13-6 victory over Pass Me The Wine, with Katie Whitehead earning Player of the Match honors for her outstanding contributions to Pass Me The Wine's performance.
Netallica emerged victorious with a 12-7 win over Net Club Seven in a closely contested matchup, further highlighting the competitive nature of the league.
With Goal Diggers maintaining their position at the top of the table on 13 points, the race for the runner up position remains tight, with Net Club Seven, Pass Me The Wine, and Court Queens closely trailing behind on 12 points. As the season progresses, the Uttoxeter Sunday Netball League promises more thrilling matchups and opportunities for teams to showcase their talent and teamwork.
