The Uttoxeter Sunday Netball league got off to a thrilling start last night, with the teams battling it out on court. The first week of the season witnessed some nail-biting contests, spectacular performances, and unexpected victories.

In a high-energy clash, Goal Diggers emerged victorious, defeating Pass Me The Wine with a score of 12 to 8. Not far behind was Court Queens with 18 points against Game Of Throw Ins, who managed to secure five.

The Raiders beat Gunners with a 10-2 victory, marking their strength early in the season. The game between High Hoops and Spice Goals was a close-knit spectacle, with High Hoops emerging as the winner by just one point, in a thrilling 5-4 win. Net Club Seven demonstrated their prowess with a 16-8 victory over Hoops I Did It Again.

The star of the week was Helen Jenkinson from High Hoops. She showcased sheer talent and determination on the court, earning her the title of the most valued player of the week.

As the season has just started, each team is still finding its footing, and we are sure to witness more dramatic matches in the coming weeks. As the teams continue to hone their strategies and showcase their skills, we anticipate an exciting season ahead in the Uttoxeter Sunday Netball league.
