Week 2 of the Uttoxeter Sunday Netball League was nothing short of breathtaking, with teams in the League showing strong performances and presenting an unforgettable display of talent.
Hoops I Did It Again went head to head with Spice Goals, but despite their spirited play, they lost by a narrow margin of 8-11. It was a thrilling encounter, with both teams giving their all to ensure victory. The Gunners barely managed to scrape a win against the Goal Diggers with a final score of 8-7, proving the competitive nature of the League.
High Hoops, on the other hand, presented a convincing victory over Court Queens, with a final score of 11-6. The game was a testament to their strong defensive skills and accurate shooting. Net Club Seven showed their skill in their game against The Raiders, with a staggering score of 19-2 that left everyone in awe. This was the highest scoring match of the week.
However, the star team of the week was undoubtedly Pass Me The Wine, who trounced Nets In The City with a score of 21-4. This was not an easy feat, considering the fact that Nets In The City had the most valued player of the week, Beverley Fletcher, in their ranks. Fletcher, despite her team's result, showcased her skills and was recognized as the most valued player of the week.
The League of the Uttoxeter Sunday Netball League has certainly lived up to its name, presenting top-notch matches filled with excitement and suspense. With the season only in its second week, netball enthusiasts can only anticipate more thrilling encounters in the weeks to come.
