The Premier League netball matches heated up in Daventry on Tuesday night for Week 2 of the new season, with teams and players showing tremendous sportsmanship and skill.

In a night of high stakes and high scores, the Green Dragons faced off against Otter's Pocket, with the Dragons coming out on top in a thrilling contest that ended 16-9. The Dragons' relentless defence and impressive attacking play was on full display as they dominated the match, showing great promise for the rest of the season. Congratulations to Cara from Otters, picking up MVP.

The Blue Peacocks also made a strong impression, defeating the Pink Panthers 15-4. Well done to Jen from Panthers, as MVP in defence and for her team rallying, loud calls to action!

Meanwhile, the Orange Tigerlilies stood out as they delivered a superb performance to triumph over Blue Kingfishers, with a remarkable score of 18-1. The Tigerlilies showcased their prowess with a top-tier display of skill, teamwork, and strategy. Blue Kingfishers kept battling with some successful defence and newcomer Carla, taking MVP for this game, could prove to be a game changer for the ever resilient team in turquoise.

Despite a tough night for the Violet Vipers, who fell to the White Swans 15-4, one player stood out from the crowd. Kayleigh Maddison, from the Violet Vipers, was declared the Most Valued Player.

With such an exciting week of matches in the Premier League division, the anticipation for the next round is already building. The league continues to prove that community spirit, sportsmanship, and a love of the game are at the heart of Daventry's netball community.
