FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
DAVENTRY, UK — The fourth week of the Daventry Tuesday
Netball League was a display of athleticism and sportsmanship, with the Premier
League division teams battling it out on the courts in a series of heated
matchups. Thank you to everyone that subbed in other teams, ensuring we had the
full 7 a-side.
In the Daventry division, the night was filled with intense competition, but
with scores wide apart almost across the board. One team emerged as a clear
winner. The Pink Flamingos dominated the pitch, delivering a stunning 14-1
victory over the White Swans. The Flamingos' impressive offensive play was a
highlight of the evening, making them the top scorers in this division for the
week.
Meanwhile, the Orange Tigerlilies faced the Violet Vipers, in a thrilling match
that saw the Tigerlilies triumphing with a 12-6 scoreline. The Green Dragons
also showed their prowess, shutting out the Blue Kingfishers with a resounding
12-0 victory.
Well done to players this week for MVP: Cara, Eve, Darci and Teresa, who gets a
further accolade for being the calmest woman in the hall when she broke her wrist
and elbow, when taking a tumble in the shooting circle. We hope to see her soon
and send everyone’s best wishes for a speedy recovery.
This week's matches were a testament to the passion and commitment of all teams
involved. Not least that both teams elected to finish the game while Teresa was
receiving first aid! The division continues to showcase the growing calibre of
netball being played in Daventry, and we look forward to the exciting games the
rest of the season will bring.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Daventry Tuesday Netball League and the
inspiring athletes who bring their best to the court every week.
