In the world of local sports, the Daventry Tuesday Netball league
continued with its third week of light-hearted competition in the division. The
Violet Vipers emerged as the dominant team of the night, delivering a
resounding victory over the Blue Kingfishers with a score of 11-1. The Vipers'
impressive defensive strategy and swift offense were the highlight of the
match, leaving the Kingfishers struggling to find ground.
However, it was not all gloom for the Blue Kingfishers as their player, Teresa
Leadbetter, was named the player of the match (POM). With special mention to
Sarah Souter who was subbing from Dragons. Both showed tenacious skill in both
offensive and defensive play was the silver lining for the team, earning them this
well-deserved recognition.
In other matches, the Pink Flamingos fought hard to secure a win over the White
Swans with a close score of 8-6. The match was a nail-biting experience, but
the Flamingos eventually pulled through, ecstatic with their first win of the
season. Well done Mia from Swans for POM.
The night concluded with an exciting face-off between Otter's Pocket and the
Green Dragons. Otter's Pocket prevailed with a scoreline of 9-3, showcasing a
strong performance in both attacking and defensive play. Well done Abbi from Dragons
for POM.
The league promises more thrilling action in the coming weeks as the teams
continue to battle for the top spot in the Daventry Tuesday Netball league.
