Congleton Thursday Netball League – Week 8

Week 8 of the Congleton Thursday Netball League brought another competitive and enjoyable evening of netball, with teams continuing to push hard as the season nears its conclusion. With just two weeks remaining, every match is becoming increasingly important.

The game between West Heath Wonders and Thursday Thunder was a closely fought contest, with Thursday Thunder edging a narrow 6–4 win. Both teams worked hard throughout, and the match stayed tight right to the end.

Goal Diggers put in a strong performance against Bib Sisters, coming away with an 11–5 victory. They showed good control across the court and made the most of their chances to secure the win.

There was plenty of drama in the match between Nets Top Models and Net Set Go, with the game finely balanced throughout. Net Set Go eventually claimed a 5–4 win, but Nets Top Models can take a lot of positives from the match.

Player of the Week

Kate Fletcher (Nets Top Models) was named Most Valued Player after an excellent individual performance, standing out with her composure, movement and accuracy.

With Goal Diggers currently leading the scoring in the league, the final weeks of the season are shaping up to be closely contested. Teams are showing great commitment and determination as they look to finish strongly.

The last two weeks promise more competitive and enjoyable netball as the Congleton Thursday Netball League heads towards its finale.
