Congleton Thursday night netball - week 4

Play in the Congleton Thursday Netball League

Week four of the Congleton Thursday Netball League provided another enjoyable evening of competitive netball, with teams in the League taking to the court and showing great teamwork and determination throughout the matches.

One of the standout games of the evening saw Thursday Thunder face West Heath Wonders in a closely contested match. Thursday Thunder secured a narrow 10–8 win after a competitive and hard-fought game. Despite the result, West Heath Wonders’ Leanne Banner delivered an excellent performance and was deservedly named the league’s Most Valued Player for the week, recognised for her positive contribution and strong play on court.

Elsewhere in the League, Goal Diggers put in a confident performance to earn a 13–5 victory over Bib Sisters. Both teams worked hard throughout the game, with Goal Diggers managing to build momentum through solid teamwork and consistent shooting.

Another entertaining match saw Net Set Go take on Nets Top Models. In a closely fought contest, Net Set Go secured an 11–9 win, with both teams showing great effort and commitment from start to finish.

These matches mark the halfway point of the season, and it has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm and positive spirit from all teams involved. With several exciting fixtures still to come, players and supporters alike will be looking forward to seeing how the rest of the season unfolds.

Congratulations once again to Leanne Banner for being named this week’s Most Valued Player, setting a great example with her performance and attitude on court.
