Play in the Coleshill Sunday You Play Netball League

Week 6 of the Birmingham Sunday You Play Netball League took place at Coleshill Leisure Centre, where teams gathered for another enjoyable evening of friendly social netball. It was great to see players of all abilities taking to the court, with everyone enjoying competitive but supportive games in the true spirit of Back to Netball.

The opening fixture of the evening saw Hot Shots take on Wingin It. Both teams started brightly and worked hard throughout the game, producing some excellent passages of play. Wingin It finished as 13-5 winners after making the most of their shooting opportunities, while Hot Shots continued to battle until the final whistle and showed plenty of determination.

The second match featured The A Team against Goal Diggers. Goal Diggers produced a strong team performance to secure a 20-7 victory, moving the ball well through the court and taking their chances in the shooting circle. The A Team never gave up and continued to work hard throughout the game, with both teams displaying excellent teamwork and sportsmanship.

The final game of the night saw Phoenix face Netbusters. Phoenix put together a solid all-round performance to claim a 17-5 win. Netbusters continued to fight for every ball and showed great determination, making for another enjoyable game played in a friendly and respectful atmosphere.

Congratulations to this week's Most Valued Player, Elle Davies from The A Team. Elle impressed throughout the evening with her movement, work rate and positive attitude on court, making a valuable contribution to her team and earning recognition from the umpires.

Another enjoyable evening of netball came to a close, with every team contributing to the welcoming atmosphere that makes the Birmingham Sunday league such a great place to play. It is always fantastic to see returning players alongside those who are new to the sport, with everyone encouraging each other and enjoying the social side of the game.

We look forward to seeing everyone back for Week 7 for another evening of fun, friendly netball. Thank you to all of the players, umpires and supporters for helping to make the league such a positive environment each week. Good luck to all teams in their next round of fixtures.
