The Coleshill Leisure Centre came alive on Sunday evening, setting the stage for the 11th week of social netball. A welcoming atmosphere filled the arena, accommodating players of various skill levels. The night unravelled amidst laughter, friendly competition, and, above all, a shared love for the game that transcended all differences.
The first match saw Wingin It and Goal Diggers sharing the court. The game ended with Goal Diggers scoring 17 goals to Wingin It's 14. It was a night where teamwork rose above everything else, with both teams displaying a high level of commitment and sportsmanship. The players' positive energy was infectious, making the match enjoyable and played in great spirit.
Next up were Falcons and Phoenix, who put on a show for everyone present. Phoenix finished the game with 20 goals, while Falcons scored 8. Both teams, despite their score difference, showcased admirable resolve and sportsmanship that elevated the game's mood. The spirit of the match was a testament to the positive nature of social netball.
Hot Shots and Netbusters then took the court. The game concluded with Hot Shots scoring 15 over Netbusters' 6. Both teams, however, were winners in their own right. They embodied the essence of social netball – camaraderie, effort, and sportsmanship, making it an enjoyable game for all involved.
A special mention goes out to Rashelle Gittens from Netbusters, who was recognised as the Most Valued Player of the week. Rashelle's enthusiasm and dynamic movements around the court were not only appreciated by her teammates but also admired by her opponents. Her positive contribution to the game made the evening even more special.
Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate Week 12 and another evening of friendly social netball. It's not just about scoring goals but about staying active, meeting new people, and improving netball skills in a supportive environment. So, come along, join the fun, and let's all get Back to Netball!
