The opening week of the anticipated Witney Sunday Netball League season kicked off with some thrilling matches in the League last night. The heat was on and the courts blazed with energy and team spirit as the competition soared to new heights.

Right off the blocks, the Witty Hoops set the season’s momentum high with a 14-3 win over the Cherry Bombs. Their outstanding performance was led by the most valued player of the week, Stevie Marsden, whose impeccable skills and strategic play left spectators and opponents in awe. Marsden's contribution was significant in the Hoops' triumph, solidifying the team’s top scorer position for the week.

In another highly-anticipated match, the Cowgirls rounded up a victory against the Witney Wonders with a score of 11-2. The Cowgirls displayed a fantastic team effort, showcasing their strategic prowess and solid defence.

Meanwhile, the Witney Warriors emerged victorious in a tough battle against Wit and Win with a final score of 4-2. The Warriors' victory indicated an impressive start to the season, promising more thrilling matches in the weeks to come.
