Brecon Monday Netball Update - Week 1

Thrilling Week 1 of the Brecon Monday Netball League

The Brecon Monday 7-a-side Netball League got off to a fantastic start this week at Brecon College, with plenty of energy, smiles, and great netball on show as teams took to the court for their first games of the season.

Aberhonddu Ladies A and B both enjoyed strong opening nights, showing great teamwork and confidence. Aberhonddu Ladies A secured a 27–5 win against Net It Together, our newest team to the league, while Aberhonddu Ladies B followed with a 17–3 result over Panthers. It was great to see Net It Together making their debut and getting stuck in during their first match.

KOALAS and Bluebirds treated spectators to an entertaining and closely fought game, with KOALAS edging ahead to take a 17–10 win after a lively contest. Elsewhere, A Little Rusty put in a solid all-round performance to earn a 15–8 victory over Beacons in another enjoyable match.

A special mention goes to Eran Prosser of A Little Rusty, who stood out this week with an excellent display. Prosser’s calm control and accurate shooting played a big part in their team’s win and made them a standout player of the week.

With Week 1 wrapped up, the season is already shaping up to be a fun and welcoming one. It’s great to see both familiar faces and new teams on court, enjoying the game and supporting one another. We’re looking forward to many more weeks of friendly netball, teamwork, and great moments.
