The Cheslyn Hay Leisure Centre was abuzz with laughter, camaraderie and the thumping sound of bouncing balls, as Week 9 of the social netball season unfolded. The welcoming atmosphere was palpable, with players of all experience levels revelling in a night of friendly competition and showcasing their skills on the court.

The evening kicked off with an enthusiastic match between Court Red Handed and Bibs And Balls. The game was full of positive energy, as Court Red Handed found their rhythm and finished the game with a score of 13-8. Both teams demonstrated great teamwork and commitment, making it a thoroughly enjoyable game played with high spirits.

The next match saw Net Chicks face off against Cheslyn Shooters. Despite the score of 24-12 in favor of the Shooters, both teams exhibited sterling sportsmanship, keeping the atmosphere light and encouraging. There were many instances of the quick movement, strategic passes, and positive encouragement that makes netball such an enjoyable sport to both play and watch.

No Regrets Just Nets and Shooting Stars were up next. With a final score of 17-11 in favor of the Shooting Stars, the game was a testament to the genuine enjoyment and mutual respect that comes with social netball. Players from both teams were all smiles, congratulating each other on good plays and showing great resilience throughout the match.

The evening wouldn't have been complete without a special mention of the Most Valued Player of the week, Becky Defries from Shooting Stars. Becky's enthusiasm, movement around the court, and overall positive contribution were greatly appreciated by both her teammates and opponents. Her energy sparked joy and positivity on the court, a testament to the spirit of social netball.

As we look forward to Week 10, we're eager for another evening of friendly social netball. It's not just about scoring goals, it's about keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive and friendly environment.
