The evening kicked off with an electrifying display from Sweaty Betty's, who dominated the court with a resounding 28-3 victory over Bibs And Balls. The match showcased some impeccable teamwork and skilled play, with Katy Hopwood from Sweaty Betty’s earning the title of the week's Most Valued Player. Hopwood's impressive performance resonated with the crowd, leaving an undeniable mark on the start of the season.

Next up, Shooting Stars put on a stellar show, outmatching the Cheslyn Chicas with a score of 23-9. The Stars' accuracy and teamwork proved too much for the Chicas, who put up a valiant fight but were unable to close the gap.

The third game of the night featured the Netballerz, who secured a solid 29-14 victory over the Cheslyn Shooters. The Netballerz team seized the game with decisive scoring and a strong defense, effectively disarming the Shooters’ offensive strategies.

Finally, rounding off the night was a fierce battle between Net Chicks and Court Red Handed. Despite a spirited effort from Court Red Handed, Net Chicks swooped in with a 21-6 win to secure their place at the top.

With the first week of the season complete, the League division is already shaping up to be a hotbed of competition.
