The Neath Tuesday Netball League escalated to new heights last night, as athletes from across the region battled in a thrilling 7-a-side contest. The fourth week of the season saw teams vying for supremacy, with notable performances from across the Division 1 and Division 2 brackets.
In Division 1, the Spice Goals emerged victorious over The Queen Bees with a final score of 17-14, demonstrating their agility and strategic prowess. The Vixens also cinched a decisive victory against Block It Like It's Hot, pulling away with a 14-9 win that highlighted their defensive skills. The most nail-biting match of the night saw the Glynneath Gal-Zelles and the Socket Shifters end in a rare draw at 11-11. The tension on the court was palpable and is sure to be carried over into next week's matches.
Meanwhile, Division 2 witnessed the Pulse Chasers succumb to the unstoppable energy of Hoops I Did It Again, who took the win with 20-10. The High Hoops showed off their scoring prowess, overcoming the Sweaty Betty's with a 16-8 victory. However, the standout performance came from the Glynneath Gazelles, who sailed to a commanding 24-11 victory against the Steel Town Shooters.
The star of the week, Eleri Evans from the Glynneath Gazelles, stole the show and was rightly named the Most Valued Player. Evans' skills and determination on the court were second to none, earning her the accolade and admiration of her peers.
