A Fantastic Start to the New Season in the Neath Sunday You Play Netball League

Week 1 of the new season got underway at Cefn Saeson Comprehensive School with another enjoyable evening of social netball. It was great to see familiar faces returning to the court and to welcome new players to the league, with plenty of smiles and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the evening.

Nets Get Physical and Glynneath Gal-Zelles got the season started, with Nets Get Physical finishing with a 14-9 scoreline. Both teams enjoyed getting back out on court and starting the new season together.

The Queen Bees and Socket Shifters were up next, with The Queen Bees finishing with 14 goals. It was another enjoyable game and a great way to continue the evening.

Spice Goals and High Hoops rounded off the Division 1 fixtures, with Spice Goals finishing with a 19-10 scoreline.

In Division 2, Hoops I Did It Again and Sweaty Betty's shared a fun game, with Hoops I Did It Again finishing with 13 goals. Block It Like It's Hot and Steel Town Shooters followed, with Block It Like It's Hot recording a 14-11 scoreline.

The final game of the evening saw Glynneath Gazelles and Pulse Chasers take to the court, with Glynneath Gazelles finishing with a 16-13 scoreline.

A special congratulations goes to Coral Morris from Spice Goals, who was named Player of the Week. Coral's enthusiasm, movement around the court and positive contribution made her a deserving recipient of the award, with her efforts appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.

With Week 2 just around the corner, we look forward to welcoming everyone back for another evening of fun, fitness and friendship. Whether you're returning to netball after some time away or trying it for the first time, there's always a warm welcome waiting at the Neath Sunday league.
