Opening Week Brings a Strong Start to the Royal Leamington Spa Thursday Netball League

The new season of the Royal Leamington Spa Thursday netball league got underway with an enjoyable and energetic evening of matches. Week 1 saw all teams take to the court with enthusiasm, setting a positive tone for the weeks ahead. There was a great mix of teamwork, effort, and developing combinations, making it a promising start to the season.

Pivot Panthers 30–11 Goal Diggas
Pivot Panthers began their campaign in confident fashion, putting together a well-structured performance across the court. Their movement and communication helped them build a strong lead, while Goal Diggas continued to work hard throughout and showed good determination in their opening fixture.

Pitch Perfect 24–8 Net Pressure
Pitch Perfect settled into the game well and maintained steady control, showing good passing and composure in attack. Net Pressure kept battling and will take valuable experience from the match as they look to build momentum in the coming weeks.

Nets Go Girl 8–2 Pass N Pivot
A well-contested game where Nets Go Girl showed strong teamwork and patience, allowing them to gradually take control. Pass N Pivot showed encouraging signs and will look to build on this performance as the season progresses.

Nutballs 32–10 Wingin It
Nutballs delivered a lively and confident performance, finding good flow in their attacking play. Wingin It remained committed throughout and will take positives as they continue to settle into the competition.

With the first round complete, it’s great to see teams already beginning to find their rhythm and enjoy their netball. As the league continues, there’s plenty of time for development, improvement, and some closely fought matches ahead.
