Newport Wednesday Social Netball - week 7

Newport Wednesday You Play Netball League – Week 7

Week 7 of the Newport Wednesday social netball league took place at Burton Borough School, with four matches played during the evening. The teams showed good commitment and teamwork, with several closely contested games.

The first match saw Ball Snatchers take on Block It Like Its Hot. Block It Like Its Hot secured a 6–3 victory after a competitive game. Both teams worked hard throughout and played in good spirit.

Next up were FireBallz and Goalden Girls. Goalden Girls finished with a 12–4 win, while FireBallz continued to compete throughout the match and showed good sportsmanship.

The third match featured Caught Offside and Court Queens. This was a closely fought game, with Court Queens securing a 17–15 victory. Just two goals separated the teams at the final whistle.

The final match of the evening saw Jump! Jump! face Irreplaceaballs. Irreplaceaballs came away with a narrow 12–11 win after another close game, with both teams competing until the end.

The Most Valued Player for the week was Sarah Masters from Goalden Girls. Sarah was recognised for her movement around the court, enthusiasm and positive contribution during the game.

As we look ahead to Week 8, we would like to thank all the teams and players for their continued participation. The Newport Wednesday league provides an opportunity to stay active, develop netball skills and meet other players in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Whether you are new to netball, returning to the sport or have been playing for years, the league offers a regular opportunity to get involved and enjoy a weekly game.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at Burton Borough School for another evening of social netball.
