Newport Wednesday Social Netball - week 4

Newport Wednesday You Play Netball League

Week 4 of the Newport Wednesday social netball season took place at Burton Borough School, with teams returning for another evening of netball. Players of different experience levels came together for four matches, with plenty of effort, teamwork and good sportsmanship throughout the evening.

The first match saw Jump! Jump! take on Block It Like It's Hot. Jump! Jump! finished with a narrow 14-13 win in a closely contested game. With just one goal separating the teams at the final whistle, both sides worked hard throughout and kept the game competitive from start to finish.

Next up were Irreplaceaballs and Goalden Girls. Irreplaceaballs came away with a 10-9 win in another very close game. Both teams continued to compete throughout, with plenty of effort and teamwork on display.

The third game saw Court Queens face Ball Snatchers. Court Queens finished with a 23-6 win after a strong performance. Ball Snatchers continued to work hard throughout the match, while Court Queens took their opportunities and maintained their lead.

The final game of the evening saw Caught Offside take on FireBallz. The teams finished level at 10-10 after a competitive match. Both sides put in plenty of effort and continued to compete right through to the final whistle, making for a good finish to the evening.

This week's Most Valued Player was Maddy Roper from Goalden Girls. Maddy showed good movement around the court and plenty of enthusiasm throughout the evening, making a positive contribution to her team and earning this week's MVP recognition.

With Week 5 coming up, we look forward to another evening of social netball at Burton Borough School. The league provides a great opportunity to keep active, meet new people and continue developing netball skills while enjoying regular games in a friendly environment.

The focus remains on playing netball in the spirit of Back to Netball, with teamwork, sportsmanship and enjoyment being an important part of every game. We hope all the teams continue to enjoy the season and support each other on and off the court.

We look forward to seeing everyone back for Week 5.
