League Week 8 Round-Up: Competitive Matches Across the Board

Week 8 of the Newport Wednesday netball League brought another evening of well-matched and competitive fixtures, with teams continuing to show great teamwork and commitment across the League.

Irreplaceaballs and Caught Offside shared one of the closest games of the night, finishing in an evenly fought 11–11 draw. Both sides battled hard throughout. A special mention goes to Barbara Lenkei of Irreplaceaballs, who was named Most Valued Player for her excellent all-round performance and positive impact on the game.

Jump! Jump! produced a confident display to secure a 19–5 win over Ball Snatchers, maintaining steady control from start to finish. Court Queens also enjoyed a strong outing, earning a 28–4 victory against FireBallz with consistent attacking play and solid teamwork.

Goalden Girls added to the evening’s action with a 15–2 win over Block It Like Its Hot, demonstrating good communication and composure on court.

Week 8 highlighted the continued development and competitive spirit within the Newport Wednesday netball League. With several weeks still to play, there is plenty of netball to look forward to as the season progresses.
