Newport Wednesday Night Netball League - Week 1

The inaugural week of the Newport Wednesday Netball League kicked off in spectacular style, setting the tone for an engrossing season ahead. The division, featuring some of the most exciting teams in the fray, started off with a bang.

In the division, the FireBallz faced off against the Ball Snatchers, with the former team ruling the court with an emphatic 6-1 victory. Block It Like It's Hot showcased their dominance against Caught Offside in a thrilling match, ending in a decisive 13-4 triumph.

Elsewhere, the Goalden Girls locked horns with Jump! Jump!, edging out their rivals with an impressive 11-6 win. However, the defining match of the night was between the Court Queens and the Irreplaceaballs. The Court Queens reigned supreme with a blistering score of 20-6, demonstrating their prowess on the court and marking their territory early in the season.

The highlight of the week, undoubtedly, was the stellar performance by Parvinder Chana Jones from Block It Like Its Hot. Parvinder's exceptional play on the court earned her the well-deserved title of Most Valued Player of the week.

As the new season unfolds, each team's mettle will be tested, and it will be exciting to see who rises to the occasion.
