In the eighth week of the Newport Wednesday Netball League, the  League showcased intense competition and phenomenal talent.

Leading the pack was the Court Queens who dominated the game with an exceptional 20-3 win against Jump! Jump! The Queens displayed remarkable teamwork, cementing their place as a force to reckon with in the league. Their offensive and defensive strategies were equally strong, making them a formidable opponent.

However, the highlight of the week was Rachel Simms, the standout player from Jump! Jump! Despite her team's result, Simms demonstrated exceptional skill on the court. Her agility, precision, and tactical prowess were highly impressive, earning her the title of Most Valued Player for the week. This accolade further underscores her leading role within her team and the league at large.

In another thrilling game, the Goalden Girls scored a solid 12-5 victory against Caught Offside, showcasing their strong offensive capabilities. Irreplaceaballs also claimed victory with an 11-5 win against Ball Snatchers, and FireBallz triumphed over Block It Like It’s Hot with a final score of 8-5.

Each game in the League division this week exhibited the stiff competition, commitment, and camaraderie that this league represents. As the Newport Wednesday Netball League continues, we look forward to more exciting games, exceptional skill, and the spirit of sportsmanship that makes netball such a compelling sport to watch and play.

With several weeks left in the season, it's anyone's game, and we are sure to witness some more thrilling netball action.
