Burntwood Sunday Night Netball - Week 9

The Burntwood Sunday Netball League delivered another fun and competitive week, with plenty of great moments and strong performances across the court.

A Little Rusty were in fine form, putting in a confident performance against the Flaming Divas to stay firmly at the top of the table. Their teamwork and energy really stood out throughout the match.

Nether Belles and Burntwood 7’s served up an entertaining, fast-paced game. Despite the Belles’ determined defence, Burntwood 7’s pushed ahead to claim the win after an exciting battle.

Nets Go were on top form this week, showing their experience and slick passing as they pulled away against the Bluebirds in the highest-scoring match of the round.

One of the closest games of the week came from Purple Panthers and Spice Goals, with both teams locked in a tense contest right until the final whistle. Spice Goals just edged it in a thrilling finish that kept everyone watching on the edge of their seats.

Although Flaming Divas didn’t take the win, Rebecca Rosario-Silcock was named Player of the Week for her outstanding all-round performance. Her movement, accurate shooting and strong defence made a real impact and didn’t go unnoticed.

With every team bringing passion and determination, the season is shaping up to be an exciting one as we head into the next few weeks.
