Buckingham Sunday night netball - week 7

Play continued in the Buckingham Sunday Netball League as week 7 of the season came to a close, bringing with it another enjoyable evening of competitive netball. Teams across the League put in strong performances, showing great teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship throughout the night.

The evening began with Catch 22 taking on Bib It Like Beckham. Bib It Like Beckham settled into the game well and moved the ball confidently, finishing with an 11–6 win. Catch 22 continued to work hard until the final whistle, but Bib It Like Beckham’s consistency helped them secure the points.

Court Up faced Throwbacks in the next match. Both teams showed determination, with Court Up battling throughout, while Throwbacks found their rhythm early and maintained control to finish with a 16–3 victory. Their clear communication and steady play made the difference on the court.

The closest contest of the evening came between Netball Ninjas and Netbusters. In an exciting and evenly matched game, Netball Ninjas edged ahead to take a 27–22 win. Both teams demonstrated great skill and energy, making it an entertaining match for all involved.

Despite Court Up’s result, Amy Stairs was named Most Valued Player of the week. Her effort, determination, and positive impact on the game stood out and were well deserving of recognition.

Week 7 has set up plenty of interest as teams look ahead to week 8 of the Buckingham Sunday Netball League. With players continuing to improve and matches remaining competitive, there is plenty more exciting netball to come.

As we head into the festive season, the league would like to wish all players, umpires, and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on court soon!
