Buckingham Sunday night netball - week 1
In the electrifying opening week of the Buckingham Sunday Netball League, teams in the Premier League division came out in full force, battling it out on the court to secure their first victories of the season.
Highlighting the league was an intense match between Throwbacks and Bib It Like Beckham. In an exceptionally close match, Bib It Like Beckham clinched a nail-biting victory with a final score of 8-7. This game was a true display of skill and determination, setting the bar high for the season.
Netbusters also made their mark by overcoming Catch 22 with a 11-7 win. Despite Catch 22's valiant efforts, the Netbusters' defensive prowess and offensive agility allowed them to secure a triumph.
Last but certainly not least, Netball Ninjas, defeated Court Up with a score line of 17-5. both teams strategic play and dynamic teamwork were impressive.
The opening week was not just about team performances, as individual players also had their shining moments. Striking the perfect balance between offense and defence, Bib It Like Beckham’s Twanet Hilton was named the most valued player of the week. Her exceptional performance was key to her team's slim victory, helping them get off to a great start this season.
