Play in the Buckingham Sunday netball league.
The first week of the Buckingham Sunday netball league got underway last night, bringing an enjoyable evening of competitive and well-spirited matches to start the new season.
In the league, Netball Ninjas delivered a confident performance against Court Up, securing a 19–0 win. They worked effectively as a unit and maintained steady pressure throughout the game. Court Up showed determination and will look to build momentum as the season progresses.
Netbusters also made a strong start, earning a 12–2 victory over Catch 22. Both teams displayed positive energy on court, with Netbusters finding good balance between attack and defence across the match.
One of the closest contests of the evening saw Throwbacks face Bib It Like Beckham in a tightly fought game, with Throwbacks edging a narrow 9–8 win. It was an evenly matched fixture that remained competitive from start to finish.
This week’s most valued player was Twanet Hilton of Bib It Like Beckham. Despite the close result, Twanet’s performance stood out, showing composure, awareness and consistent effort throughout the match.
As the season continues, teams will be looking to build on their opening performances and develop their combinations further. With a strong start to the campaign, there is plenty to look forward to in the Buckingham Sunday netball league.
