Buckingham Sunday night netball - End of season

Congratulations to the Netball Ninjas, who finished the season as winners, and to Netbusters as well-deserved runners-up. A special mention also goes to Joanna Edwards from Throwbacks, who was awarded Most Valuable Player of the Season.

The Buckingham Sunday play netball league came to an exciting and enjoyable close, with teams showing great commitment and sportsmanship throughout the final week of matches. The Netball Ninjas rounded off a fantastic season with a 10-match winning run, finishing top of the league on 20 points.

In their final match, the Netball Ninjas took on Bib It Like Beckham, securing a confident 15–4 win. It was a strong team performance that reflected their consistency and hard work over the course of the season.

Elsewhere, Netbusters delivered another impressive display against Court Up, winning 27–7. Their positive attacking play has been a real highlight this season and helped cement their place near the top of the league.

The final week also included a closely fought match between Throwbacks and Catch 22, with Throwbacks edging a 7–3 victory. Joanna Edwards stood out with a composed and influential performance, earning her the Most Valuable Player award and rounding off a great season for her team.

Overall, the season has been full of enjoyable matches, close contests, and plenty of memorable moments. The Buckingham Sunday Netball league continues to be a welcoming and competitive environment for players of all levels. Well done to all teams involved, and congratulations once again to the Netball Ninjas on a fantastic season.
