Week 5 Round-Up from the Yate Thursday Netball League

It was another enjoyable evening of netball in the Yate Thursday 7-a-side Netball League, with teams taking to the court for Week 5 and producing some great games in the Premier League division.

Courters and 2Steppin kicked things off with a lively match, with Courters coming away with an 11-6 win after a well-played game from both sides.

In another entertaining fixture, Absolute Ballers faced Yate Falcons in a high-scoring match, with Absolute Ballers finishing ahead 15-10 after plenty of great attacking play from both teams.

The closest game of the night came between The Shot Hit The Fan and Nothing But Net. It was a tight and exciting contest throughout, with The Shot Hit The Fan just edging the result 6-5.

Goal Diggas also had a strong game against In It To Win It, finishing 10-2, while Netball Knockouts and Munch Bunch rounded off the evening with an energetic match that ended 18-6.

A special mention this week goes to Emily Rollings from Munch Bunch, who was named Most Valued Player. Emily showed fantastic effort, skill, and great sportsmanship throughout the game and fully deserved the recognition.

It’s been great to see so many teams enjoying their Thursday evenings on court, and we’re looking forward to more fun matches as the season continues next week.
