Yate's seven-a-side netball league, Yate Thursday, enjoyed an engaging Week 12 last night, with solid performances and positive moments throughout the Premier League division.
The Courters opened the evening with an 11–5 win over Nothing But Net. It was a well-contested match, with both teams showing good movement and teamwork, and the Courters finding a bit more consistency in their shooting.
Munch Bunch followed with a 9–6 result against The Shot Hit the Fan. The match had a nice flow, with both sides creating opportunities, and Munch Bunch managing to stay just ahead as the game progressed.
In the final fixture, the Netball Knockouts met the Goal Diggas, who came away with an 11–6 win. The Knockouts put in a strong effort and showed encouraging signs across the court despite the scoreline.
A standout this week was Alysa Bastin from Netball Knockouts, who was named Most Valued Player. Her calm decision-making, reliable play, and commitment were highlights and provided a real boost for her team.
With only a few weeks left in the season, teams are continuing to build on their form and look forward to the upcoming fixtures. There’s plenty still to enjoy as the Premier League division moves toward its conclusion.
