Bridgnorth Tuesday Social Netball - week 2

Bridgnorth Tuesday You Play Netball League – Week 2 Report

Week 2 of the Bridgnorth Tuesday You Play Netball League took place at Bridgnorth Endowed Leisure Centre, with three matches on the schedule and teams returning to court for another evening of social netball.

The opening match saw Bridge The Gap take on Nets Get Physical. Bridge The Gap secured a 14–2 victory, putting together a strong performance to take the win. Nets Get Physical continued to compete throughout the match, while Bridge The Gap made the most of their scoring opportunities.

Next, We Don’t Give A Shot faced Nets Go For A Beer in what proved to be a competitive fixture. Nets Go For A Beer came away with a 21–14 victory after a high-scoring match. Both teams worked hard throughout, but Nets Go For A Beer managed to maintain their advantage and finish with the win.

The final match of the evening saw River Splitters go head-to-head with Time To Shine. It was the closest contest of the night, with just two goals separating the teams at the final whistle. River Splitters secured a narrow 17–15 victory after a closely fought game, with both sides pushing hard until the end.

This week's Most Valued Player award went to Liv McCleary from Time To Shine. Congratulations to Liv on receiving the award for Week 2. It's great to recognise players who make a positive contribution to their teams and the league.

As a Back to Netball league, our aim is to provide a friendly, welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone, regardless of experience or ability. We want all players to feel comfortable getting back on court, developing their skills and enjoying the social side of netball. Matches should always be played in the right spirit, with respect shown to teammates, opponents and umpires. While we all enjoy a bit of friendly competition, the most important things are having fun, supporting one another and making sure everyone enjoys their time on court.

Well done to all six teams for another week of netball. With two weeks completed, we look forward to seeing everyone back on court for Week 3 and finding out how the next round of fixtures unfolds.

Our social netball leagues are a great way to stay active, develop your skills and meet new people in a friendly environment. Whether you're returning to netball after a break or looking to get involved for the first time, there's a place for you on court.
