Play in the Bridgnorth Tuesday Netball League

The new season of the Bridgnorth Tuesday Netball League got underway at Bridgnorth Endowed Leisure Centre, with teams returning to the court for Week 1. The opening round featured four matches, plenty of competitive netball and a strong start to the season for several sides.

The first League fixture saw We Don't Give A Shot take on Time To Shine. Time To Shine made an impressive start to their campaign, producing a solid all-round performance to secure a 13-4 victory. We Don't Give A Shot continued to work hard throughout the match and showed plenty of determination despite the scoreline.

Bridge The Gap faced Nets Get Physical in the second game of the evening. Nets Get Physical controlled much of the contest and claimed an 8-4 win, making the most of their opportunities while defending well. Bridge The Gap continued to battle until the final whistle and will look to build on their performance in the coming weeks.

The third match featured Nets Go For A Beer against River Splitters. River Splitters started their season with a 9-5 victory after a competitive game in which both teams created good scoring chances. It was an encouraging performance from both sides as they settled into the new campaign.

The final fixture of Week 1 saw Pass and Sass take on Shoot. Pass and Sass finished the evening with the biggest win of the night, recording a 15-6 victory thanks to consistent attacking play and good teamwork across the court.

This week's Most Valued Player award went to Jade Tonks from We Don't Give A Shot. Jade's energy, movement and positive contribution throughout the game stood out and earned recognition from players across the league.

Week 1 provided a strong start to the new season, with every team getting valuable court time and plenty to build on. As the league begins to take shape, teams will be looking to carry momentum into the next round of fixtures.
