Bridgnorth Tuesday Netball League: Week 3 Round-Up
It was another enjoyable evening of netball in the heart of Shropshire, as the Bridgnorth Tuesday netball league continued into week 3. Teams across the League delivered some great performances, with plenty of positive play and teamwork on show.
Time To Shine put in a strong display against Shoot, earning a 14–7 win. Both teams showed good organisation and effort, but Time To Shine were able to take their chances well and maintain control throughout the match.
Nets Get Physical also had a confident game, coming away with a 21–5 victory over No Regrets Just Nets. Their teamwork and consistency made the difference, although both sides continued to show great spirit.
River Splitters secured a 14–10 win against We Don't Give A Shot in a well-contested match, with both teams battling hard from start to finish.
Another close game saw Nets Go For A Beer narrowly edge past Bridge The Gap with a 9–8 win. It was an evenly matched contest, with just a single goal separating the teams at the final whistle.
This week’s standout player was Sophie Billingham from Shoot, who was named Most Valued Player. Her performance was a real highlight, showing great skill, movement, and determination throughout the game.
We would also like to take a moment to remind everyone of the importance of respecting umpire decisions. Our umpires play a vital role in ensuring games are fair, safe, and enjoyable for all. We appreciate the positive attitude shown by the majority of teams and encourage everyone to continue supporting and respecting officials throughout each match.
As a gentle reminder, players should play in one position per game and avoid playing the same position across multiple games in an evening. This helps keep matches fair and enjoyable for everyone.
As the season progresses, the Bridgnorth Tuesday netball league continues to be a great mix of friendly competition and team spirit. It’s been a strong start to the season, and there’s plenty more to look forward to in the coming weeks.
