In the latest round of matches in the Brackley Thursday Social Netball League at Magdalen College, all teams once again showed up in full force, ready to compete in a friendly and sporting manner. The matches unfolded with a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among the players, creating a positive atmosphere on the court.
Unfortunately Sally from Pass It Like Its Hot suffered an injury to her ankle during the match and we would like to wish her a speedy and full recovery and we hope to see her back very soon.
Pass It Like Its Hot faced off against Phoenix in a hard-fought battle, with Phoenix emerging victorious with a final score of 11-5. Despite the loss, Ellie McClellan from Pass It Like Its Hot put in a standout performance, earning herself the Player of the Match award for her efforts.
Lashes And Passes took on Title Chasers in another exciting matchup, with Title Chasers securing a 15-7 win. Louise Waters from Lashes And Passes showcased her skills and determination, earning the Player of the Match accolade for her stellar performance on the court.
In the match of the night, Pivot Point and Here For The Night engaged in an intense and closely contested battle. After a thrilling back-and-forth encounter, Here For The Night emerged victorious with a narrow 13-11 win. Roxy Chadwick-Colmer from Pivot Point was recognised as the Player of the Match for her outstanding contributions to her team's efforts.
Despite the results, Phoenix maintained their unbeaten record at the top of the league standings after three matches. However, all teams have shown significant improvement since the start of the league, indicating a high level of competition and dedication among the participants. As the season progresses, the excitement and intensity of the matches are expected to continue, with each team striving to reach new heights and secure victory in the league.
