Bridgend Sunday Night Netball Update - Week 8

Week 8 of Bridgend’s Sunday 7-a-side Netball League delivered another great evening of social netball, with teams enjoying competitive yet friendly matches as the season heads towards its final weeks. With just two rounds remaining, players continued to show fantastic commitment, teamwork, and enthusiasm on court.

Pink Ladies and All Sorts shared an exciting and closely contested game, with both teams working hard throughout and showing great determination. Pink Ladies edged ahead to finish with a 22–19 scoreline, while All Sorts demonstrated excellent teamwork and resilience in a fast-paced match.

Hoops I Did It Again and Wangerz also provided an energetic fixture, full of movement and confident play. Hoops I Did It Again made the most of their opportunities to record a 27–16 result, with both teams contributing to an enjoyable and high-scoring game.

Elsewhere, Clover Catchers and Nets Go took to the court in a positive and spirited match. Clover Catchers finished with a 5–0 score, while Nets Go showed great effort and support for one another throughout. Cougars and Netball Ninjas played out a lively encounter, with strong passages of play from both sides before Cougars took a 19–14 result. High Hoops and Pink Panthers rounded off the evening with an upbeat match, with Pink Panthers finishing 5–0 after some well-worked passages of play from both teams.

Cougars were the highest scorers of the week, highlighting their growing confidence and teamwork as the season progresses.

This week’s Most Valued Player was Amy Treagus from Nets Go. Her performance stood out for her skill, effort, and positive attitude on court, perfectly reflecting the supportive spirit of the league.

As the season draws to a close, teams are reminded to secure their place for the next season. With two weeks remaining, the Bridgend Sunday Netball League continues to be a welcoming space for players of all abilities to enjoy netball, stay active, and be part of a fantastic community.
