Bridgend Sunday Netball Update - Week 1

Netball League Gets Off to a Great Start

Week 1 of the Bridgend Sunday Netball League kicked off with a fun and energetic evening, as teams across both divisions took to the court for the start of the new season. It was great to see everyone back playing, with lots of teamwork, effort, and positive play on show.

In Division 1, Pink Ladies had a strong start against Netty Betties, finishing 28–5. All Sorts and Hoops I Did It Again played out a close and entertaining match, with Hoops I Did It Again taking a 12–10 win. Wangerz and Netball Ninjas also had a high-scoring and lively game, with Netball Ninjas just edging it 23–21.

Division 2 brought plenty of great moments as well. Clover Catchers had a good game against Cougars, winning 12–6. Nets Go and Pink Panthers shared a well-matched game, finishing in a 14–14 draw, with both teams showing great effort throughout.

A special mention goes to Pink Ladies and Clover Catchers for their strong scoring performances this week.

It’s been a really positive start to the season, with all teams enjoying their netball, supporting one another, and settling into their games. We’re looking forward to seeing how everyone continues to grow and develop over the coming weeks.
