As the first week of the brand-new season in Walsall Sunday Netball League unfolded, the on-court action was fiercely competitive and intense, setting the season up for a thrilling journey.

Blue Phoenix took on No Pain No Gain in a nail-biting match. The latter team displayed quick footwork, agility, and an exceptional understanding of the game, overpowering Blue Phoenix with a final score of 11-4.

Bloxwich Ballers and Walsall Stars provided spectators an edge-of-the-seat experience. The Ballers managed a narrow victory with a score of 11-9, highlighting the evenly matched talent on both sides.

Another tightly contested game saw the Bloxwich Divas losing by just a single point to The Pink Panthers, resulting in a score of 8-9.

However, the star performance of the week came from Walsall Wonders, who stormed past the Untouchables with a dominating score of 22-10, making them the top scorers in the League for the week.

Amidst the high-octane action, Jenny Tidmarsh from Walsall Stars stood out and was rightly adjudged the Most Valued Player of the week. Despite the Stars' narrow loss, Tidmarsh's performance shone through, demonstrating the team's potential for the matches ahead.
