Walsall Sunday Netball League - Week 2

In a thrilling week two of Walsall Sunday's Netball league, the competition truly fired into action. On the court, in the division aptly named League, there was a palpable air of tension as teams clashed in a bid to claim early season bragging rights.

Bloxwich Divas set the tone for the evening, taking their first win of the season after a tense showdown against Hoop Hustlers New. The Divas owed their 12-6 victory to their excellent defensive play and accurate shooting, leaving the Hustlers trailing behind.

However, the game of the night was undoubtedly the clash between Bloxwich Ballers and Goal Diggers. In a nail-biting encounter, it was the Goal Diggers who managed to clinch a hard-fought victory, edging out the competition by a single point, ending the game at 11-10.

Walsall Wonders also managed to squeak past Untouchables, in a game that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. The final score of 16-14 in favour of the Wonders reflected the intensity and competitiveness of the match.

The week's most valued player was awarded to the Goal Diggers' Jo-Anne Ricketts. The star player displayed a masterful performance, leading her team to their narrow win. Displaying a combination of finesse, agility, and sheer determination, Ricketts' performance on the court proved pivotal for the Goal Diggers.
