Warwick Monday Netball Update 2nd March

In an exciting second week of the Warwick Monday Netball, spectators enjoyed several closely contested matches. The games were a great reminder of how quickly momentum can shift in netball and how every point can make a difference.

In the first fixture, Hands On The Ball! narrowly secured a win against Nutballs with a final score of 18–17. It was a very even contest that could easily have gone either way until the final moments, highlighting the strong competition between the teams.

Another standout match saw Shooting Stars deliver a strong attacking performance against Hoops I Did It Again, finishing with an 18–10 result. Their consistent scoring helped them build a comfortable lead and earn a well-deserved win.

The A-Team also impressed with a convincing 23–5 result against Warwick Warriors, marking the highest-scoring game of the evening and a confident performance from the side.

Among the evening’s performances, Emma Papathomas of Nutballs was recognised as the most valuable player of the week. Despite the narrow loss for her team, she delivered an excellent individual performance, showing determination and skill throughout the match.

With the third week approaching, the teams will be looking to build on their early performances. If the opening rounds are anything to go by, the coming weeks should continue to bring enjoyable and competitive netball.
