Week 7 of the Didcot Thursday Netball League provided an evening of closely contested matches, with all teams showing good effort and steady improvement as the season continues.
Ball Slappers and Hoop Troops played out a very evenly matched game, with Ball Slappers narrowly taking the win 15–14. Both sides moved the ball well and created plenty of opportunities, making it a competitive and balanced contest from start to finish.
Midas Touch and Enchanted also produced a tight game, with Midas Touch securing a 13–12 victory. The match was defined by patient build-up play and consistent teamwork, with both teams staying level for much of the game before a late goal separated them.
Another close fixture saw Netspresso Martinis edge past Court Queens 8–7. It was a low-scoring but well-fought match, with both teams working hard defensively and making the most of limited chances in the shooting circle.
The Most Valuable Player award this week went to Natasha Humphreys of Court Queens. Despite the narrow result, her performance stood out for its consistency and work rate across the court, contributing significantly to her team’s efforts.
As the league progresses, matches continue to be closely fought, with teams developing their combinations and building confidence each week. With several rounds still to play, there is plenty of opportunity for teams to keep improving and enjoying their netball.
