Last week at Ashbourne Leisure Centre, it was a delightful Wednesday evening that marked Week 5 of our social netball season. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and cheerfulness. Regardless of experience levels, everyone relished in a memorable night of netball, radiating positive vibes and sportsmanship throughout the games.

Our first match saw The Ash-tonishers and Still Playing sharing the court. The game concluded with Still Playing achieving a score of 10 to The Ash-tonishers’ 4. It was a testament to the power of teamwork and commitment, with everyone giving their best and enjoying the spirit of the game.

Next, Nets Get Physical and Sling It Sisters demonstrated passionate energy throughout their match. Nets Get Physical ended the game with an impressive 32 points, while Sling It Sisters fought hard, finishing with 15 points. Both teams played in great spirit, showing determination and enthusiasm throughout.

The third match of the evening took place between Ash & Dash and Pass Me The Wine, finishing with Ash & Dash achieving an impressive 11 points to Pass Me The Wine's 2. Everyone applauded the optimism and dedication displayed by both teams.

The highlight of the evening was the recognition of our Most Valued Player, Emily Hall from Ball Of Fame. Emily's eagerness and swift movement around the court were an inspiration to all. Her positive contribution was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, adding to the friendly atmosphere of the evening.

As we look forward to Week 6, we are excited for another evening of friendly social netball. It's not just about keeping active and improving our netball skills, but also about enjoying the game, meeting new people and fostering a supportive environment. So, let’s gear up for another evening of fun, fitness, and friendship at Ashbourne Leisure Centre.
