Play in the Ashbourne Wednesday You Play Netball League

Week 11 of the Ashbourne Wednesday You Play Netball League at Ashbourne Leisure Centre saw another evening of social netball, with six teams taking to the court across three fixtures. There was plenty of effort and teamwork throughout the evening, with the games providing some close finishes and good competition.

The first match saw Sling It Sisters take on Still Playing. Still Playing came out on top with a 16-14 win in a closely contested game. With only two goals separating the teams, both sides had to work hard throughout the match. There was good movement across the court, with both teams creating opportunities and continuing to compete right through to the final whistle.

The second fixture was between Nets Get Physical and Bourne Lucky, with the game finishing in an 11-11 draw. Neither team was able to gain a decisive advantage, making this one of the closest games of the evening. Both teams showed good teamwork and worked hard in both attack and defence to keep the scores level.

The final game saw Ash-tonishers face Pass Me The Wine. Pass Me The Wine finished with 10 goals, while Ash-tonishers scored 3. Pass Me The Wine made the most of their opportunities in attack, while Ash-tonishers continued to work hard across the court throughout the fixture.

This week's Most Valued Player was Lauren Draper from Ash & Dash. Lauren put in a strong performance, showing good movement around the court and making a positive contribution to her team. Her effort and teamwork were recognised with this week's MVP award. Well done, Lauren!
