In the heart of Derbyshire, under the warm lights of Ashbourne Leisure Centre, Week 12 of the social netball season took place with much fanfare. The air was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the sounds of sneakers against the polished wood. Players of all skill levels, from novice to experienced, gathered for an evening of friendly competition and athletic enjoyment.

The first match of the night saw Bourne Lucky and Pass Me The Wine take to the court. The teams performed admirably, showcasing their commitment and teamwork. Pass Me The Wine completed the game with a score of 13, whilst Bourne Lucky weren't too far behind with 10 points. The game was filled with positive energy and friendly competition, reinforcing the essence of social netball.

The evening proceeded with the match between The Ash-tonishers and Sling It Sisters. Both teams presented a fantastic display of sportsmanship and team spirit. Sling It Sisters finished the game with a score of 13, while The Ash-tonishers pushed hard and completed the game with 9 points. Despite the disparity in scores, the game was enjoyable and played in great spirits by both teams.

A special mention goes out to the Most Valued Player of Week 12, Abigail Lane from Bourne Lucky. Abigail's enthusiasm was contagious as she moved around the court, making a positive contribution that was appreciated by both her teammates and opponents. Her performance didn't go unnoticed, and she was rightly awarded for her efforts.

As we look ahead to Week 13, the anticipation builds for another evening of social netball. The emphasis continues to be on staying active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive environment. With only two weeks of matches left this season, we encourage anyone who's been contemplating joining to come along, see the action first-hand, and try this wonderful game of social netball.
