Week nine of the Ashbourne Wednesday 7-a-side Netball League delivered another enjoyable and competitive evening of netball as the season continues to move closer to its conclusion. With teams now well settled and confidence growing across the league, the standard of play on display reflected the hard work and commitment shown by everyone involved.
One of the highlights of the night was a closely contested match between Ash & Dash and Bourne Lucky. Both teams worked tirelessly throughout the game, resulting in an entertaining and well-matched contest. Ash & Dash managed to edge ahead in the later stages to secure a 16–13 win, but Bourne Lucky pushed right until the final whistle, making it a game played in great spirit and with plenty of quality netball on show.
A standout individual performance came from Katie James of Nets Get Physical, who was deservedly named Most Valued Player of the Week.
