League Week 2 Round-Up: A Positive Start to the Season
Week 2 of the Ashbourne Wednesday netball League brought another enjoyable evening of fixtures, with teams continuing to settle into the season and build momentum across the League.
Ball Of Fame opened the night with a confident 18–7 win over Bourne Lucky. Their organised approach and steady teamwork helped them maintain control throughout the match.
Nets Get Physical and Sling It Sisters followed with one of the closest games of the evening. Nets Get Physical secured a narrow 17–14 victory in a well-contested and competitive fixture that reflected the effort from both sides.
The Ash-tonishers rounded off the night with a strong 19–6 result against Still Playing. Their consistent attacking play and communication across the court helped them produce a solid team performance.
A special mention goes to Millie-ann Hall from Nets Get Physical, who was named Most Valued Player this week. Her positive attitude, work rate and all-round contribution made a real difference in her team’s success.
As the Ashbourne Wednesday netball League moves into Week 3, the competition continues to develop, with every team showing commitment and great sportsmanship. There is plenty more to look forward to as the season progresses.
