Ashbourne Wednesday Netball League - Week 6

The lights of the Ashbourne Leisure Centre were shining brightly on the evening of the sixth week of our friendly social netball season. Players of all experience levels were buzzing on the court, their faces alight with ambition, camaraderie, and good-natured competition. The atmosphere was lively, welcoming, and ever supportive, creating a vibrant backdrop for a stunning evening of delightful sportsmanship.

In the first match of the evening, Still Playing and Sling It Sisters showed us the meaning of teamwork and shared fun. The Sisters ended the game with a score of 18-7, displaying impressive cohesion, while Still Playing embraced the game with unyielding commitment and positive energy.

Next up, Ball of Fame played against Ash & Dash in a spirited game of enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Ash & Dash finished with a lead of 16-13, an affirmation of their unwavering dedication. On the other side, Ball of Fame showcased their love for the game with their infectious energy, captivating the audience.

Our third match saw Pass Me The Wine and The Ash-tonishers take the court. With a final score of 19-14 in favor of Pass Me The Wine, both teams demonstrated the essence of social netball - a mix of fun, fitness, and friendly competition.

The final match between Bourne Lucky and Nets Get Physical was a testament to the fun-filled spirit of the game. Nets Get Physical led the scoreline with 15-6, exhibiting great footwork and strategy. Bourne Lucky, true to their name, played their hearts out, exuding an enthusiastic and tenacious energy throughout the game.

A notable mention goes to the Most Valued Player of the week, Kirsty Hinton from The Ash-tonishers. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her movement around the court was a joy to watch. Kirsty's positive contribution to the game was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, a true testament to her sportsmanship.

As we look ahead to Week 7, we are excited for another evening of friendly social netball. It's more than just a game; it's about keeping active, meeting new people, and developing our netball skills in a warm and supportive environment.
