Play in the Ashbourne Wednesday Netball League

It was another enjoyable evening of netball as the Ashbourne Wednesday Netball League reached Week 3, with teams delivering some competitive matches and great teamwork across the court.

The first match saw Still Playing face Pass Me The Wine, with Pass Me The Wine producing a strong performance to secure a 24–12 victory. Their movement across the court and consistent shooting helped them build a comfortable lead as the game progressed.

The Ash-tonishers and Bourne Lucky then played out one of the closest matches of the night. In a tightly contested game, The Ash-tonishers managed to edge the result 15–14, with both teams showing great determination from start to finish.

Another close encounter followed as Sling It Sisters took on Ball Of Fame. The teams were evenly matched throughout, but Sling It Sisters managed to hold on for a narrow 12–11 win in an exciting game.

Ash & Dash also had a strong evening, claiming a 16–8 victory over Nets Get Physical. Their consistent play and teamwork helped them take control of the match and secure a well-earned result.

This week’s Most Valuable Player award goes to Eleanor Kirkham from Ash & Dash. Eleanor’s excellent performance and contribution across the court helped her team secure their victory and made her a standout player on the night.

With Week 3 complete, the Ashbourne Wednesday Netball League continues to provide plenty of competitive games and a great atmosphere. Teams will now be looking ahead to the next round of fixtures as the season continues.
