Downham Market Monday Social Netball - week 5

Downham Market Monday You Play Netball League

Week 5 of the Downham Market Monday You Play Netball League took place at Alive Downham Leisure, with teams returning for another evening of social netball. There was a friendly atmosphere throughout the evening, with plenty of effort and teamwork on display across all four games.

The first game saw Nimble Ninjas take on Ball Me Maybe. Nimble Ninjas secured an 8-4 victory after a strong performance. Both teams worked hard throughout the game, with good movement and passing across the court. Ball Me Maybe continued to compete until the final whistle, making it an enjoyable start to the evening.

Next, Market Leaders faced Pocket Rockets in a closely contested game. Market Leaders came away with a 7-5 win after maintaining their lead throughout the match. Both teams showed good commitment and worked hard across the court, with the narrow scoreline reflecting a competitive game.

The third game of the evening saw In It To Win It take on The Ginger Snaps. In It To Win It finished with a 4-2 victory. Both teams continued to work hard throughout the game, with plenty of effort and determination on display.

The final game saw Exclamation Marks face Double Down. Exclamation Marks secured a 9-6 win after another competitive match. Double Down continued to push throughout the game, while Exclamation Marks did enough to maintain their lead and finish with the victory.

Our Most Valued Player of the week was Olivia Hillier from The Ginger Snaps. Olivia showed plenty of enthusiasm and good movement around the court throughout her game. Her effort and positive contribution were recognised by her teammates and opponents, making her a worthy winner of this week's award. Congratulations, Olivia.

The Downham Market Monday league continues to provide a friendly and relaxed way to enjoy netball, keep active, meet new people and develop skills. With players of different experience levels taking part, the focus is on enjoying regular games in a supportive social environment.

We now look ahead to Week 6 and another evening of social netball at Alive Downham Leisure. Well done to all the teams who took part this week, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on court next Monday.
