Downham Market Monday Social Netball - week 4

Downham Market Monday You Play Netball League

Week 4 of the Downham Market Monday You Play Netball League took place at Alive Downham Leisure, with teams returning for another evening of social netball. There was a friendly atmosphere throughout the evening, with everyone taking to the court ready to enjoy their games and keep active.

The first game of the evening saw Team Ball Me Maybe take on Exclamation Marks. Exclamation Marks secured the win with a final score of 14-1. They put together a strong performance, while Team Ball Me Maybe continued to compete throughout the game and worked hard until the final whistle.

Next, Double Down faced In It To Win It in a closely contested match. Both teams worked hard across the court, with plenty of effort and determination on display. The game finished 7-7, with neither side able to separate themselves on the scoreboard, making it a well-earned draw.

The third game saw The Ginger Snaps take on Market Leaders. Market Leaders came away with an 11-2 victory after putting together a strong performance. The Ginger Snaps continued to work hard throughout the game, making sure they kept competing right through to the end.

The final game of the evening was between Pocket Rockets and Nimble Ninjas. Nimble Ninjas finished with a 5-1 win, but both teams continued to show good effort and commitment throughout the match. It was another enjoyable game to round off the evening's netball.

Our Most Valued Player of the week was Rosie Godbold from Double Down. Rosie put in a strong performance, showing plenty of enthusiasm and good movement around the court. Her contribution helped her team throughout their closely fought game, and she was well deserving of this week's award. Congratulations, Rosie.

The Downham Market Monday league continues to provide a friendly and relaxed way to enjoy netball, whether players are returning to the sport after a break or simply looking for a regular evening of activity. The focus is on having fun, keeping active, meeting new people and developing netball skills in a supportive environment.

We now look ahead to Week 5 and another evening of social netball at Alive Downham Leisure. Well done to all the teams who took part this week, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on court next Monday.
